We are excited to get together in DC again!  November marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, so let's go see a section of the wall that is on display at the Newseum on Saturday, November 9th.

The Newseum is also closing its doors at its DC location at the end of 2019, so this is a last chance to explore the amazing museum dedicated to a free press and the 1st amendment. We will meet at the Newseum when it opens at 9am and spend the morning in the museum as a large group if it works or smaller groups.

Then we will head outside to do a photo scavenger hunt and walking tour of the monuments and other buildings of DC.  We will meet up again at 12:30pm at the base of the Washington Monument.

*Lunch is on your own - if you spent the morning at the Newseum, they have a cafe.  There are also several lunch options in DC - including food trucks often lined up around the Washington Monument. Through the walking tour/scavenger hunt we hope to include the White House, Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, MLK Jr Memorial, FDR Memorial, and more - of course, this will depend on the weather and the energy level of the group.
